After a year of classes and going to tournaments, Kim decided to train to be a coach.  Coaching combined her love of fencing, community building, and helping kids learn how to try new sporting activities.

In her first year of training to be a coach she was chosen to be a part of the USA Fencing mentor program for women coaches.  This program paired new coaches with experienced coaches to help encourage women to continue on their path to becoming coaches.  Kim has achieved her Assistant Moniteur, and is working towards Moniteur by this summer.
